Because maximum longitudinal and lateral grip generally occur at different camber angles the ideal FVSAL length is a compromise between lateral and longitudinal grip. Your tire data will decide how to make a compromise between camber variation in heave and roll. This compromise will depend on the type and shape of the circuit being raced on.
